Housing Expo a Big Success

Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. (ACDS) and the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors partnered together again this year to host the Anne Arundel County Housing Expo on Saturday, May 22, 2010. The annual event drew over 150 residents, most of whom were potential first-time home buyers looking for information on how to purchase a home. Thirty-five vendors, including Realtors, lenders, government agencies, and non-profit housing agencies were on hand to provide information on buying or upgrading a home. BGE also provided energy saving tips and the County’s Department of Public Works was on hand to distribute free recycling containers. Prizes and gift certificates were raffled off throughout the day, and one lucky winner went home with a brand new deluxe gas grill!
